12-year-old with fake gun shot dead by US police officer

A 12-year old boy brandishing what turned out to be a fake gun died after being shot by a police officer in Cleveland, USA. The shooting happened on Saturday after officers responded to reports of a male with a gun. A witness called the police, said the boy was pointing the pistol that was 'probably fake' and scaring people. Police say the officer fired two shots after the boy pylled the fake weapons from his waistband.Further information reveals that the weapon which the 12-year-old unnamed suspect was in possession of is an 'airsoft' type replica gun resembling a semi-automatic pistol, with the orange safety indicator removed.
