19 dead in plane crash in Nepal

Nineteen people were killed in a plane crash today on the outskirts of Kathmandu in Nepal, including seven Britain and five Chinese nationals. According to police officials, the Sita Air craft carrying the passengers had just taken off from Kathmandu airport and was heading towards Lukla, in the Mount Everest Region when it crashed in a field near Kathmandu airport. The plane plunged into the banks of the Manohara River at around 6:30am. Reports have further revealed that no Indian national was on board.
