Watch | Aggressive pests of a deadly kind

Doctor Bob Brown is excavating a German Wasp nest from the soil. Clad in heavy protective gear, Brown cautiously goes through his task even as a large and dangerous swarm emerges from the colony. These invasive wasps are responsible for economic damages worth approximately 130 million New Zealand dollars (INR 584 crores). They also pose a danger to other fauna. These wasps are native to parts of Europe, Asia, and northern Africa.
