Updated on Jan 08, 2016 12:37 pm IST
A guitar played by Elvis Presley in the early 1970s has been sold at an auction for $270,000 (INR 1.7Cr). The guitar had been expected to fetch more than $300,000. This is the same guitar which Elvis used to play at dozens of concerts from 1971 to 1975, and in the documentary “Elvis on Tour”. The 1969 Custom Gibson Ebony Dove guitar was auctioned off at the late singer's home in Graceland, Memphis. The auction included an original tape recording of Elvis performing, and other jewellery.
