Watch | Rare albino green turtle hatchling caught on camera

A newly-born Albino Green turtle called Alby was caught on camera hatching on Monday, February 8. The tiny white creature was seen scurrying across the sand and into the sea by a crowd of onlookers from the Noosa Biosphere organisation. The Noosa Biosphere organisation told Reuters that Alby was born on Castaways Beach on Monday. Noosa told Reuters that Alby was the straggler of the nest, his siblings have been born and left on Friday, February 5. Noosa also said that volunteers found him under the sand while collecting data from the hatched nest. Alby was one of 122 hatchlings that are making the journey from the Castaways nest into the sea.
