Thousands of passengers were left stranded in Guangzhou's main railway station after snowfall in central China delayed train services. Over 80 trains were delayed at Guangzhou Railway station and huge crowds were seen queuing outside the station. It has disrupted the country's Lunar New Year travel rush, when travellers are expected to make 2.9 billion trips during the 40-day period. Most of those trips will fall in the weeks around the February as migrant workers, students and others head home to celebrate with family.
