Astronaut Tim Peake tweeted this incredible time-lapse that shows how lightning storms look like from space.
The footage, posted on Tuesday, offers an incredible view of the flashy, fast-paced lights as they strike the Earth. At the moment, Peake was flying over Turkey while moving from North Africa towards Russia. The ISS completes an orbit of Earth every 92 minutes at a speed of 27,600 kilometres per hour.
