A cargo plane from Dubai skidded off the runway into the sea while landing at Hong Kong International Airport early Monday, Reuters reported, citing the airport operator.

Two people were killed in the incident, according to local media reports cited by the news agency. Both were aboard a ground vehicle at the time of the crash.

The accident occurred around 3:50am local time. The airport authority confirmed the aircraft was operating under an Emirates flight number. The airlines did not immediately respond to a comment, according to Reuters.
All four crew members on board were rescued, the airport said. One ground staff member was also rescued, while another remains missing.
Flightradar24, a flight-tracking service, said the aircraft that went off the runway in Hong Kong was a Boeing 747 freighter, according to a social media post.
