The attack on the Amazon building comes two days after Iran warned it will target American firms in the Gulf region which are not affiliated with the US military. Citing the use of artificial intelligence in warfare and espionage, the IRGC listed out 18 companies in danger, which included big names such as Amazon, Microsoft, Apple and more.

In a statement, the IRGC further added that anyone in the buildings of these companies is advised to leave to "preserve their lives."

The latest attack in Bahrain comes as Iran's retaliation to an attack on its steel plants by the US and Israel on Wednesday. The US-Israeli attack has prompted a shutdown of the two steel plants - Khuzestan Steel Company in the city of Ahvaz and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
