The Amber Alert for Melina Galanis Frattolin, who was last seen in Lake George on Saturday, was cancelled on Sunday after her body was found in Ticonderoga, New York, according to CBS 6 Albany. The alert was issued early Sunday morning. However, investigators later identified inconsistencies in the account and timeline provided by the girl's father. At this time, authorities say there is no evidence of an abduction. Authorities are expected to hold a press conference on Monday to release additional details in the case.

According to the Amber Alert issued by New York State Police earlier on Sunday, Melina Galanis Frattolin was last seen around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, traveling southbound on the Northway near Exit 22 in a white van.
“The New York State Police Investigative Support Unit is activating an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Warren County Sheriffs Office and is investigating a child abduction that occurred in LAKE GEORGE NY at approximately 09:40 PM on July 19, 2025,” the alert read.
Frattolin was described as approximately five feet tall, weighing around 100 pounds, and last seen wearing shorts, a black-and-white striped shirt, and white Adidas sneakers.
At the time of the alert, police stated she “was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious bodily harm and/or death.”
The Amber Alert was issued around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, nearly four hours after the girl was reported missing. Initial statements from police said she disappeared around 7:40 p.m., but that timeline was later revised to 9:40 p.m.

{{/usCountry}}Frattolin's body was discovered on Sunday in Ticonderoga, New York, by New York State Police, with assistance from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, Ticonderoga Police Department, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, State Forest Rangers, and K9 and Aviation units.
As of now, no suspect has been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
