UPDATE (4 a.m. EDT): At least four women were hospitalized following a stabbing at a Downtown Los Angeles restaurant on Sunday evening. According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Lyndsey Lantz, officers responded around 5:15 p.m. to Zaya Restaurant. They found six people injured in two separate locations. Four women, aged 26, 27, 28, and 37, were transported to a local hospital in fair condition.
Two suspects were taken into custody, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on X. Authorities said the incident remains under investigation.
In a statement on Instagram, Zaya Restaurant said, “While some situations develop unexpectedly and are beyond our control. The safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. We are especially grateful for the swift response of our team, as well as the immediate support of local law enforcement and emergency personnel.”

According to the New York Post, a woman in her 30s is believed to have suffered a serious wrist laceration, though her condition remains unclear. Officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department told CBS Los Angeles that five other victims were evaluated at the scene by paramedics.

Details remain limited, and authorities have not confirmed a motive. Preliminary information suggests the violence may have stemmed from an altercation at a nearby bar.
