Thousands who tuned into Netflix on Thursday afternoon after the launch of the gameplay trailer of Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" reported a crash.

On Down Detector, a platform that tracks such outages based on users' reports, show that around 4000 users were reporting that Netflix was crashing following the gameplay trailer launch. The outage started at around 2:53 pm EDT, the graphs of the reports in the last 24 hours showed.
The outage was brief and lasted for around 45 minutes before users were able to visit the streaming giant to check out the game play trailer. By 3:50pm EDT, less that 200 users were reporting problems.
According to the data on Down Detector, 33% complained about issues with the website of Netflix, 28% with the server connection and 25% with video streaming.

Netflix has not released a statement on the issues faced by users in the first 45 or so minutes after the launch of the trailer.
