The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, continues with fresh developments.
Monica Garcia, an anchor on News 4 Tucson, shared on X that a local couple said they discovered a black glove that appeared to have blood on it outside the main search area. Many online wondered if this was the ‘second’ glove being spoken of.

Where did the couple find the black bloody gloves?
Garcia reported that the couple discovered the glove a mile away from Nancy's home on February 11 at 10 p.m.
The couple further told the news channel that they were driving around the neighborhood to join the search party when they discovered the glove under the car flashlights. They said that the other pair of gloves was also found approximately 10 feet away from the first pair.
Garcia shared that the couple did not touch any of the gloves and called the FBI tipline and the Pima County Sheriff's department.
However, after not receiving a satisfactory response from either department, the couple then proceeded to call 911, who did the due process and asked them the required questions.

DNA testing and forensic leads in focus
In recent days, law enforcement confirmed that DNA from gloves recovered about two miles from Guthrie's residence was analysed against the FBI's Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).
The Tucson couple questioned whether the CODIS-tested gloves were the ones that they found on February 11. According to authorities, the results produced no matches so far in the system.
The Sheriff's Department, however, responded to News 4 saying that they cannot confirm if the gloves that the Tucson couple found are part of the evidence. They mentioned that the law enforcement has collected multiple gloves from the area.
News 4 has also not received an update or confirmation from the FBI regarding the same.
