Anurag Kashyap’s next on a serial killer is getting a Cannes screening

Critically acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap’s next movie is about a hateful, notorious serial killer Raman Raghav and who murder people in the dead of the night in 1960s Mumbai. The movie seems to be on the right track already as it will premiere at the upcoming and prestigious 69th Cannes International Film Festival.

Kashyap took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the news.

“Raman Raghav 2.0 to premiere at Cannes Directors Fortnight. Congratulations team,” he tweeted.

The film stars actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the title role alongside Masaan fame actor Vicky Kaushal.

However this is not the first time that a film directed Kashyap is going to be aired at Cannes.

Previously films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Peddlers, and Bombay Talkies have been premiered at the awards gala.

The 2016 Cannes International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from May 11 till May 22.

Raman Raghav 2.0 is slated to release in India on May 27.
