Cong damaged cause of social justice: Mayawati

Accusing Congress and other parties of damaging the cause of social justice, BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati said it was her party which took on board all sections of society.

Accusing Congress and other parties of damaging the cause of social justice, BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Friday said it was her party which took on board all sections of society.

“Congress and other parties have done a lot of damage to the cause of social justice since independence. Only BSP has taken up the issues of all sections of society for overall development,” she said while addressing an election rally in Gorakhpur.

The Chief Minister said her party has fielded 80 candidates in Uttar Pradesh and in several states so that it emerges as a powerful party.

She said reservation for poor upper caste and minority would be ensured, if she comes to power at the Centre.

BSP Lok Sabha candidate from here Vinay Shankar Tiwari and Srinath Advocate from the Bansgaon constituency were also present in the rally.
