Maharashtra: Former BMC chief Sitaram Kunte transferred again

Former BMC commissioner, and now principal secretary of the environment department, Sitaram Kunte, has been transferred for the second time in the past one month and will now be principal secretary of the planning department.

Former BMC commissioner, and now principal secretary of the environment department, Sitaram Kunte, has been transferred for the second time in the past one month and will now be principal secretary of the planning department.

On Tuesday, in a major reshuffle, 11 IAS officials, many senior officials who held important posts in Mantralaya, were transferred.

Malini Shanker who was the principal secretary of the water resources department has taken Kunte's place as principal secretary, environment, while Satish Gavai, who was principal secretary in the housing department has replaced her.

Srikanth Singh, who was in the planning department will now be in charge of housing. Sunil Porwal, who is additional chief secretary (ACS) in the cooperation marketing and textile department, will now hold the important post of ACS (planning).
