Here are world’s top sustainable destinations! Bhutan is one of them
At an event hosted in Slovenia recently, organizers of The Sustainable Destinations Top 100, list of tourist destinations known for their ecotourism standards, revealed the winners which met 15 core criteria for conservation of nature. Among them is India’s neighbour, Bhutan, a beautiful landlocked nation, known for adventure, trekking and hiking. The following are the other destinations in the list. Judges included environmental experts, leaders of environmental groups, tourism groups and academics from all over the world. (AFP)
