AAP protestors reach Chandigarh border amid heavy security

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, along with a sea of supporters, after having gathered in Mohali’s Dussehra ground, started their journey towards Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal’s residence in Chandigarh on Monday.

Sec 144 imposed, Chandigarh turns into a fortress to handle AAP protest

At the Dussehra ground, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Sucha Singh Chhotepur addressed party supporters and volunteers, estimated to be 15,000 in number, urging them to be peaceful. Singh also demanded Rs 15 lakh compensation for every farmer suicide. He also demanded that Zee Punjabi should be telecast in Punjab.

The Mohali administration, overnight, removed stones, pebbles from the area around the ground to avoid any stone pelting incidents.

At the time of filing of this report, AAP party members and volunteers were at the Chandigarh border.
