Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday charged that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and opposition Congress have struck an alliance in order to subdue AAP in the state assembly elections due early next year.
Attacking Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and state Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh, Kejriwal said the graph of Congress and SAD has nosedived and thus both have clinched an alliance.
“Now, SAD is spending money for putting hoardings, banners and poster of Amarinder, to project him to cut the votes, which are coming to AAP,” said Kejriwal while addressing rallies for Harpal Singh Cheema, AAP candidate from Dirba.
Buttressing his point, he said while Congress is giving clean chit to cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Badal is reciprocating the move by withdrawing corruption cases against Amarinder.
At Dhuri, he flashed the alleged swiss bank accounts of Amarinder and his family members. “If Modi actually wants to bring black money out, then Badals, who have amassed biggest chunk of black money in Punjab and Amarinder Singh, who stashed black money in the Swiss bank, should be brought back,” he said.
He also accused state government of threatening him by attacking his vehicle. “They (Akalis) can never break my resolve to work for the welfare of Punjab, which has been ruined during the misrule of Akalis and Congress,” the Delhi CM said. He also raised issue of attack on Sikh religious preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale. “If the religious preachers are not safe, how can Badal ensure safety and security to the common man?” he quipped.
