Bus driver Lakhwinder Singh said the accident took place when a truck, moving ahead of the bus, suddenly changed the lane. Singh said he applied brakes to avoid a collision and the bus overturned.

Badali Ala Singh station house officer Sarabjit Singh said the statements of passengers have been recorded. No case has been registered, he said.
