TV actor Mohammad Nazim, who plays Ahem Modi on Saath Nibhana Saathiya, has quit the popular show. The show is taking another time leap and the 30-year-old actor has been asked to play a grandfather.
Talking to Hindustan Times about his exit, the actor said, “I am just 30. I don’t want to play a grandpa at this age.” When asked whether this was the result of a sudden change in the script, Nazim said, “I don’t know. I just know that this is my reason for leaving the show.”
The actor said his fans will be able to watch him on the show for another two weeks before he makes his exit.
Nazim also said that he was upset with the development. “I tried reasoning with them (show producers) but they insisted on trying this leap.” He added that he wasn’t served any notice before this development was sprung on him.
In March, Amar Upadhyay, too, quit the show.
