Watch | Cuban overweight dancers celebrate 20 years of art

In 1996, Cuba's Juan Miguel Mas formed a dance company of overweight women and men, “Danza Voluminous”, to show that non-slender bodies can also dance and offer art and spectacle. The group recently celebrated its 20th anniversary at the National Theatre of Cuba. Mas creates choreographies with a mix of classic & humor to connect with the audience.The group has its own versions of classic ballets such as “Swan Lake” & “Carmen”.
