Bhopal: Wait’s over, Shatabdi to run from Habibganj station too

After a long wait, New Delhi-Bhopal Shatabdi Express will now run from Habibganj Railway Station from Monday. The name of the train will now be New Delhi-Habibganj-New Delhi Shatabdi Express.

After a long wait, New Delhi-Bhopal Shatabdi Express will now run from Habibganj railway station from Monday.

The train will arrive at platform number 1 and depart from the same platform of the station. The name of the train will now be New Delhi-Habibganj-New Delhi Shatabdi Express, instead of New Delhi-Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi Express.

The residents of the city have been demanding extension of the train up to Habibganj Railway station for quite a long time. In his railway budget, Union railway minister Sadananda Gowda had announced the extension of the train from September 1.

According to railway officials, train will arrive at 2.25pm and it will depart at 3pm after 35 minutes halt at the station.

For Shatabdi Express, two trains will be shifted from platform number 1 to platform number 2 or 3. The trains which are likely to be shifted are Dadar- Amritsar-Pathankot Express and Kurla-Gorakhpur-Kushi Nagar Express.
