Despite opening to mostly positive reviews, both Bollywood releases that hit theatres on Friday got a slow opening on day one. While Amitabh Bachchan-Rishi Kapoor-starrer 102 Not Out collected Rs 3.52 crore at the box office, Hansal Mehta’s Omerta earned a mere Rs 54 lakh.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures: “Like most content-driven films aimed at families, #102NotOut started on a slow note, but gathered momentum from evening onwards... A HEALTHY GROWTH is on the cards on Sat and Sun... Word of mouth is SUPER-STRONG... Fri ₹ 3.52 cr. India biz.”

The latest Hollywood blockbuster, Avengers Infinity War, however, continued to rule the Indian box office on Friday and collected Rs 7.17 crore on Friday alone.The Marvel superhero saga has already earned Rs 210 crore in India and $857 million worldwide.
