The actor had recently shared a video which showed him transforming into a balding old man for a television commercial. The video required him to wear a fake paunch and a wig to give an impression of a receding hairline. He also sports a fake white moustache in the ad.

Aamir has a penchant for makeovers and had pierced his nose for his last film Thugs of Hindostan. The film crashed at the box office after opening with record-breaking collections of 50 crore. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Sana Fatima Shaikh, the film was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of Dhoom 3 fame.

Aamir had even apologised for the film’s failure while taking complete responsibility of its disappointing box office collections. The film was also turned down by the critics after which Aamir had said at an event, “I would like to take full responsibility for that. You can be sure that we tried our level best. There are people who have liked the film a lot and we would like to thank them. We are happy that they liked the film but that’s a minority. Majority of the people did not like the film and we are aware of the fact. So there is no doubt that we did go wrong. I want to apologise to the viewers who came to watch my film in the theatres as I was not able to entertain them despite trying my best. But those who came with so many expectations did not enjoy the film and I am feeling very bad about it.”

He will now be seen playing the iconic character in the remake of critically acclaimed Hollywood film Forrest Gump featuring Tom Hanks in the titular role. Aamir had made the announcement on his birthday last week, saying, “My next film is finalised it is called Lal Singh Chaddha. It is being made by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. It will be directed by Advait Chandan. It is an adaptation of Hollywood film Forrest Gump. We have bought the rights from Paramount and I am playing the lead role of Lal Singh.”

Aamir is also reportedly working on his dream project, Mahabharat and is said to be playing the role of Lord Krishna in the web series.
