Abhishek Bachchan, his brother-in-law Nikhil Nanda and his nephew Agastya Nanda were in Haridwar to immerse the late Rajan Nanda’s ashes.

Abhishek Bachchan, brother-in-law Nikhil Nanda and nephew Agastya Nanda reached Haridwar today to immerse businessman Rajan Nanda’s ashes. Rajan Nanda, father-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter and Abhishek’s sister Shweta, had passed away in Delhi on Sunday.

Abhishek Bachchan was seen in Haridwar with his brother-in-law Nikhil Nanda.

Amitabh, who was in Bulgaria for the shooting of Brahmastra at that time, had rushed back to India to be with the family. On Tuesday, the Bachchan, Kapoor and Nanda families gathered on Tuesday at the prayer meet. Spotted at the meet were Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor. Also present were Ridhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Singh, designer Sandeep Khosla and Shweta’s son, Agatsya Nanda. Rajan, the chairman and managing director of Escorts Limited, was married to Raj Kapoor’s daughter Ritu.

Rishi’a daughter Riddhima had earlier written on Instagram, “You were & will always be a legend! Thank you for all the love always - will miss you so much uncle - until we meet again...”

Taking to Twitter, Amitabh had written, “.. the messages of condolences are greatly and humbly acknowledged .. they speak of your affection and concern .. they convey the spirit and love of the Ef .. thank you.”

In a blog, Amitabh had written earlier, “Yes, the personal tragedy is now in discloser and transmitted… but it had a lead… a lead of distress and anxiety and apprehension from a time of some immediate length… the obvious nested facts were not pressed into the print of this page, but there were hidden hints of them in it. My hidden heart can bleed within… unseen… but it takes not away the pain of its emission.”
