Rohit Shetty’s cop universe has expanded with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi shooting now. The actor posed with ‘Singham’ Ajay Devgn and ‘Simmba’ Ranveer Singh.

Even as Avengers: Endgame breaks records, bringing the current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to an end, Bollywood has also caught on to the trend. Powering what is Hindi film industry’s first cop universe is Rohit Shetty with his cop dramas – Singham starring Ajay Devgn, Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar.

Ahead of Sooryavanshi’s shoot beginning, producer Karan Johar shared a photo of Akshay, Ajay and Ranveer with Rohit. All three actors can be seen with clapboards of the films they have done or are doing.

Akshay and Karan shared the photo and wrote, “The cop universe just got bigger as #Sooryavanshi takes charge!” The film’s shoot begins in Mumbai, after which Akshay will fly to Bangkok for the second schedule. “Rohit will be canning a larger-than-life introductory scene with Akshay at some landmark locations in Bangkok. Katrina is unlikely to be a part of this shoot,” a source told Mumbai Mirror. The film’s last two schedules will happen in Goa and Hyderabad. “He will shoot briefly in Goa, before heading to Hyderabad where Sooryavanshi will wrap up at Ramoji Filmcity. The large ensemble cast will be present in both Goa and Hyderabad,” stated the source.
