Barun Sobti on chopping kissing scene: We did what we needed to do with the script

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor Barun Sobti says that his upcoming film, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, has more to it than the kissing scene that has been blown out of proportion.

Barun Sobti speaks his mind, especially when it’s about clarifying his stand. So, when asked about reports suggesting that he asked the makers of his upcoming film, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, to tone down an intimate scene in order to keep his TV image intact, the actor says, “I don’t know where such stories are coming from.”

Barun Sobti plays the character of the well-educated and good-natured Arjun Anand in his upcoming film Tu Hai Mera Sunday.

The scene between Barun and his co-star Shahana Goswami in Tu Hai Mera Sunday is reportedly a kissing scene. The actor had earlier told us that he had no issues doing intimate scenes, but he wasn’t comfortable kissing on screen.

“We figured out this whole thing together. Once you watch the film, you realise that it’s only at the end that their love story even starts. The whole track is about how people fall in love. I don’t know [who] made news out of this. We just did what we needed to do with the script,” Barun explains.

The actor adds that the film is more than this and has “the potential of changing your perspective towards life, at least for the day you watch it”.
