Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has teamed up with veteran lyricist Gulzar for the first time and together they will be presenting two newcomers in an upcoming romance drama.
Penned by Gulzar, Mirzya marks the debut of Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan and Tanvi Azmi’s niece Saiyami Kher. It is an epic love story set in Rajasthan and Ladakh.

Talking about Gulzar, he told us ,”It is all about your thoughts. I have experienced this; it is not about keeping yourself abreast with changing times. He (Gulzar) defines time, he’s the one who writes time for you.”
“I have a special term for his (Gulzar’s) work, which is Gulzariya. There is no past, present and future for Gulzar - he is eternal. I always believe that we don’t grow old but we become a victim of age. A 20-year-old might not be as active as a 70-year-old.”
The first trailer of Mirzya is out. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film hits theatres on October 7.
