Sports and youth affairs minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore fitness challenge has had many converts by now -- from a pregnant Sania Mirza to Ajay Devgn’s seven-year-old son Yug. Now, Bollywood’s hunk trio -- Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra and Aditya Roy Kapur -- accepted the challenge and gave it a comic turn.
On Thursday, Ranveer posted a video in which the three actors are at the gym, chatting. The video opens with Sidharth and Aditya admiring a person. “Looking hot,” says Aditya and Sidharth chips in. They debate how well the clothing fits the frame. Seconds later, we see who they are talking about -- funny man Ranveer Singh. Talking to the camera, the Padmaavat actor says: “What’s up, boys? Kya aap mere jaise hot or sexy bann na chahte hain? Agar aapka jawab hai haan, toh gym aaiye, loha (he means weights) uthaiye aur mere tarah hot n sexy bann jaiye.”
Sharing the video, Ranveer wrote: “Fitness dwara aap hot & sexy bhi ban sakte hain!(meri tarah) Kudos to most handsome & dashing leader @ra_rathore for brilliant initiative! #FitnessChallenge #HumFitTohIndiaFit I tag my sexy gym bros @s1dofficial and #AdityaRoyKapur & Fittest Director @itsrohitshetty.”
On Monday, Ajay had posted a video of Yug doing a series of gym exercises. The young lad can be seen doing a series of push-ups, a free style cartwheel and other exercises.
Ever since Rathore posted a video on his Twitter account on May 22, asking Indians to share their fitness mantra, scores of celebrities have been accepting the challenge and posting videos of their exercise routines.
Actors Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Saiyami Kher, Gul Panag, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil Akkineni, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, south Indian actor Lakshmi Manchu, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Rakul Preet; TV actor Hiten Tejwani and directors Madhur Bhandarkar, Remo D’souza, Karan Johar and singer Adnan Sami have accepted the challenge.
Sportspersons who accepted the challenge include PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Yogeshwar Dutt, Sushil Kumar, Parupalli Kashyap and Virat Kohli among others.
