In pics: Salman Khan kicks off first leg of Sultan shooting in Delhi
Amid high security, actor Salman Khan starts shooting in Delhi for his upcoming film Sultan.
When actor Salman Khan entered the wrestling ring of Delhi’s Thyagaraj stadium on Wednesday, the audience made sure that they gave him a rousing welcome. Dressed in a grey T-shirt and dark blue shorts, he entered the indoor stadium and immediately got down to business. Once he finished putting on the costume, he sure looked like Sultan Ali Khan, the wrestler on whom his character is based.

Amid high security, the shooting for the film started at 4.30 pm, and the crowd patiently waited for Salman, all of them having come as early as 6.30 am. It was amusing (not surprising) to see the hoots and cheers for Salman, when he came forward for the first take. However, his co-star for the film actor Anushka Sharma did not join him. She plays his love interest in the film. Both the actors have been training for the film for more than six months.

Delhi-based wrestler Jagdish Kaliraman was also present on the sets to coach the moves to the actor. The shooting of the film is expected to continue for 26 days in the capital. Sultan is directed by Ali Abaas Zafar.
