Jacqueline Fernandez has performed on several dance numbers in her movies. Her signature steps in tracks such as ‘Lat lag gayi’ (Race 2; 2013) and ‘Chittiyaan kalaiyaan’ (Roy; 2015) became popular among audiences. But, not many know that the actor takes dance inspiration from American pop star Beyoncé Knowles.

“Beyoncé’s songs top Jacqueline’s playlist. She has a huge collection of the singer’s videos. She loves watching them when she is travelling,” says a source.
‘Single ladies’, ‘Run the world’ and ‘Crazy in love’ are among Jacqueline’s favourite songs. She says, “I started loving Beyoncé’s music when I was a teenager. She was still part of Destiny’s Child (American girl band) at that time. Her music is something you can dance to, and, at the same time, it has a lot of soul.”
Jacqueline believes that Beyoncé has inspired not just her, but also the entire world. “She introduced an interesting concept; her steps are a mix of hip-hop and jazz. She inspired the world with those moves,” she adds. The Dishoom actor also likes to attempt new dance forms. “I have never been trained in a particular dance form, which is why learning new ones has been easier for me,” she says.
