Jacqueline Fernandez, who did an item number called ‘Jadoo ki jhappi’ in Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2014), was recently approached for another one — in a Punjabi film — but she had to turn down the offer.

“Amandeep Kler, a Canada-based debutant director, approached her to do an item song in his film. Jacqueline was required to travel to Canada for three days to practise her moves and shoot the track from June 7-9,” says a source close to the actor. Apparently, she would have to learn and perfect some bhangra moves.

However, the actor has declined, citing date issues. “She informed the team that she would be shooting for a film with Varun Dhawan in Abu Dhabi at that time,” says the source, adding that Jacqueline was offered a lucrative amount for the number as the film-maker planned to use it to create buzz about his film, which stars newcomers.

While Jacqueline remained unavailable for a comment, her spokesperson confirmed the news.
