Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger lands in copyright row
Salman-Katrina starrer Ek Tha Tiger has found itself in a copyright row. Writer Anand Panda has lodged a police complaint alleging that the makers had stolen his script and made it into a film without providing him any compensation.
After films like Om Shanti Om, RA.One, Jannat 2 and Desi Boyz, now Yash Raj Films' blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger has found itself in a copyright row. Writer Anand Panda has lodged a police complaint at the Amboli Police Station against the makers of Ek Tha Tiger alleging that they had stolen his script and made it into a film without providing him any compensation.

The police have registered an FIR against producer Aditya Chopra and director Kabir Khan based on the complaint lodged by Panda via the Film Writer's Association (FWA).
Panda said that he had approached YRF with his script sometime in 2011 but after reading it, they turned it down and returned it back to him. When he saw the film he was shocked to see that the film bore many similarities to his own script. He then approached the Film Writer's Association (FWA) with his complaint.
An appeal has been made in the Bombay High Court where the case is being heard and then a verdict will be announced.
Ek Tha Tiger stars Salman Khan opposite Katrina Kaif.

HT's review
Ek Tha Tiger is Salman Khan’s best film since Dabangg. But because his last two films were Ready and Bodyguard, the bar is not exactly high. Still, Ek Tha Tiger has more of a story as well as greater coherence and emotion than both those films put together. REVIEW INSIDE
