Actor Surveen Chawla welcomed her baby girl with husband Akshay Thakker a few days ago and named her Eva. The actor had walked the red carpet at the Femina Beauty Awards a few weeks before her delivery and was clicked sharing a laugh with actor Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone at the event.
Talking about the same, Surveen has said, “It was a small moment where I had just seen Gully Boy and loved his performance and the movie so I was just twilling him how wonderful he was. He just said that you loved it matlab rapper paida hoga. I told him hoga ya hogi pata nahi but it was a small moment (He just said that if you loved the film, the child will become a rapper. I told him I don’t know it will be a girl or a boy but it was just a small moment).”
The actor has spoken for the first time after giving birth and said, “It hasn’t hit me completely. I am feeling strange, thinking and feeling the way I am doing.. it almost feels like... you know.... sometimes people say that a new ‘you’ will be born when you give birth, this almost feels like that.” She added, “I am feeling things which were alien to me. Just feeling them is surreal, in a good way, of course. The feeling is inexplicable and I can’t describe it in words.”

{{/usCountry}}Talking about why she named the newborn Eva, Surveen said, “Not many people know that the name ‘Eva’ actually originates from Sanskrit and that it means ‘life.’ We wanted to give her a name which both of us love and it was never going to be a name which one person liked and other didn’t. I don’t think there will ever be a decision taken for her which will be only by one of us, it has to be unanimous.”
Surveen was spotted leaving the hospital a few days ago with baby Eva in her arms. She and Akshay were seen posing for the photographers, with the baby wrapped up in a blanket. She had also shared a picture of the baby’s feet on her Instagram account with the caption, “We now have her tiny feet to fill the tiny shoes! Blessed by her wonderful arrival in our little family! Welcoming our daughter Eva.”
Surveen and Akshay had tied the knot in Italy in 2015 and had kept it a secret for a long time. She was last seen in the first episode of hit web series Sacred Games and is known for films such as Love Story 2, Parched and Ugly.
