A significant part of our childhood was spent following America’s favourite teenage character and his buddies — Betty, Veronica and Jughead. In this series, published from 1972 to the 1980s, it wasn’t uncommon to see Archie, and the other regulars, pray to the Lord. The themes revolved around Christian morals and incorporated Biblical scripture. A Christ-like figure also makes an appearance in one of the comics.
