I love that I get to sing different songs and am challenged to emote differently with every song.

In India, people don’t know the singer of a Bollywood song, however popular it may be.

Tell us about your gorgeous wedding in Italy...

The wedding was a Disney movie without trying too hard. My best friend married us, we said our vows on a hill at a vineyard in Chianti. We cried and we fell in love again. It was a perfect wintry day... Gods were watching.

Which has been your most challenging song till date?

Paani Ravi Da – a Punjabi song from the film Lahoriye (2017).

One international musician you’d want to collaborate with this year?

Pink or Max Martin.

What’s your favourite memory from your VIVA days?

The main concert which was on June 1, 2002.

What’s your favourite childhood memory from your Delhi days?

I miss the changing seasons of Delhi and the fragrance of the flower, Raat Ki Rani, which can be found all over the city. And of course, Delhi food.

A song that makes you immensely nostalgic...?

That has to be Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson.

What’s an ideal weekend for you?

Getting some time off and spending it with my husband and our dog, Bling, doing absolutely nothing.

Which musicians from the yesteryears you wish you could’ve worked with?

Reshma ji and Def Leppard.

How do you rejuvenate after a long and exhausting recording session?

I like meditation and massages.

What are your favourite travel destinations?

I love all beach destinations. I loved Vietnam, Italy and Spain.

Who is your favourite travel companion?

My BFF, Avani, and my dear husband, Sameer.

What will your epitaph read?

She was crystal clear.
