Managing Director Anil Kapoor told the company's 24th annual general meeting that though broad parameters for greenfield and brownfield urea projects had already been announced, clarifications about some of the important aspects like input pricing were still awaited.

Kapoor said that the company’s fertiliser business has remained largely unaffacted during the economic slowdown but shipping and textile businesses are impacted.

The company has long-term charter contracts for new ships, which saved the business from freight volatility. The trend in textile division during the quarter was positive, he added.

The company has implemented the first phase of a project to revamp in its fertiliser plants at Gadepan.
