At the heart of the Panigale V4 R is a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine that produces 218 hp at 15,750 rpm in standard form. Built using technologies drawn directly from Ducati’s racing programmes, the engine is designed to rev high and deliver performance that is closer to a race bike than a conventional road-going superbike. With the optional racing exhaust fitted, output can reach 235 hp.

The electronics package is equally impressive. Features like a racing-style gearbox layout with neutral positioned below first gear, advanced traction and slide control systems, and race-oriented brake management underline the Panigale V4 R’s racing heritage. A new 6.9-inch TFT display offers dedicated track views, including grip indicators, allowing riders to better understand how the motorcycle is behaving under hard riding.

Given its limited numbers and clear track-first character, it is not a motorcycle meant for everyone. Instead, it is aimed at collectors and experienced riders who want the closest possible experience to a factory race bike, with just enough road legality to ride it out of the garage.
