Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India sold 5,74,411 units in January 2026, registering a 29 per cent year on year growth.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India began 2026 on a positive note, posting overall sales of 5,74,411 units in January. The bulk of this volume came from the domestic market with 5,19,579 units sold, while overseas shipments contributed 54,832 units during the month.

The company posted a year-on-year growth of 29 per cent compared to January 2025, indicating steady demand across both the Indian market and key export regions. The performance reflects continued traction for HMSI’s two-wheeler portfolio amid improving retail momentum.

For FY26 so far, spanning April 2025 to January 2026, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has clocked combined sales of 52,53,205 units. Domestic volumes contributed 47,23,979 units, while exports reached 5,29,226 units during the same period.
Alongside sales performance, HMSI continued its focus on road safety initiatives in January. During this period, the company carried out road safety initiatives across a wide range of cities such as Ahmednagar, Alibag, Ballabgarh, Bhubaneswar, Dausa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hosapete, Kakinada, Kasaragod, Kurukshetra, Raipur and Surat, focusing on responsible riding and public awareness.
HMSI also hosted a Road Safety Convention in Malappuram, Kerala, bringing together school principals and teachers to promote safer road habits among children from a young age. Alongside this, the brand conducted multiple awareness drives across the country and introduced the Jaipur Ideal Road Safety Project to coincide with National Road Safety Month.
In terms of network growth, HMSI strengthened its presence by opening new authorised dealerships in Erode, Bilaspur, Moradabad and Udhampur.These outlets are supported by trained sales and service teams to strengthen customer engagement and after-sales support.
