Mahindra has officially confirmed that they are renaming the XUV700 to XUV 7XO. The announcement came in a teaser that the homegrown manufacturer shared on its social media page. Mahindra also confirmed that they will launch the XUV 7XO on January 5th in the Indian market.
We speculated this last month when the brand submitted a trademark filing for the ‘XUV 7XO' moniker. This is the second time that the brand has renamed one of its SUVs. Earlier, Mahindra renamed the XUV300 to XUV 3XO. This is not the only case; the brand has also submitted trademark applications for the XUV 1XO and XUV 5XO nameplates. Therefore, it is possible that new products utilising these names may be introduced in the future.
