Kia India has confirmed that it will be launching the new-gen Seltos in the Indian market on December 10th. The mid-size SUV was first launched back in 2019 and has been a huge hit since then. The brand did release a facelift to freshen things up a bit back in 2023, which helped the Seltos to continue its strong momentum in the Indian market.
What will be the changes to the design of the new-gen Kia Seltos?
Kia has started teasing the design elements of the new-gen Seltos on social media. There is a fresh new fascia in the front, and the LED Daytime Running Lamps look sharper and more aggressive. This helps in tying the design language of the new Seltos along with the other new Kia models that are sold in the global market. There will also be a new design for the rear tail lights and lightbar, which are clearly inspired by the Carnival that is on sale in the Indian market. There would be new bumpers, new alloys, a shark fin antenna and an integrated rear spoiler as well.

What will be the changes to the interior of the new-gen Kia Seltos?
The interior is still not revealed, but we can expect that the new Seltos will take some design inspiration from the Carens Clavis and Syros. There would be a new multi-function steering wheel, dual screens and a layered dashboard. The centre console would also be redesigned, and we can expect some new upholstery as well.

What will be the engine options of the new-gen Kia Seltos?
The new Seltos is expected to come with the same engine options as the current one. So, expect a turbo-petrol, a naturally aspirated petrol and a diesel engine. There is a possibility of an all-electric version as well as a hybrid powertrain. However, nothing is confirmed as of now. The gearbox options on offer will be the 6-speed manual, a dual-clutch automatic, a CVT automatic, a torque converter automatic and an iMT unit, depending on the engine option that the person chooses.
What will be the rivals of the new-gen Kia Seltos?
The 2026 Kia Seltos will continue to go against the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Honda Elevate.
