Panchkula DC Vivek Atray holds meeting for repair of roads

Deputy commissioner Vivek Atray has written to various authorities like the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Municipal Corporation (MC) and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and asked these officers to take up the repair of roads on priority basis.

He also held a meeting of officers concerned and directed them personally. He wants the NHAI to repair Barwala, Mauli and Shashzadpur highways and has written to HUDA to repair the Western Command road. "One of the reasons for road mishaps is the poor condition of roads,"he said. The DC also wants officials to ensure proper sign boards & pedestrian walkways and the removal of unauthorised speed-breakers.
