The District Bar Association (DBA), Chandigarh, will hold its 2026 elections on September 11 at the District Courts Complex, Sector 43, with polling scheduled in two sessions, the election committee announced on Sunday.

As per the election schedule, candidates can file their nomination papers on August 25 and 26 at the executive committee office on the first floor of the service block. Scrutiny of the nominations will be conducted on August 27.
Candidates seeking to withdraw their nominations can do so in writing on August 29 between 2.15pm and 4pm. Polling will be held from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm at the Gents Bar Room on the first floor of the Service Block at the District Courts Complex.
The elections will be held for the posts of president, vice-president, vice-president (women), secretary, joint secretary, treasurer, library secretary (women) and executive members. Five posts each have been earmarked for senior and junior executive members, with two posts in each category reserved for women advocates.
The election committee has also notified the nomination fees. Candidates contesting for president will have to pay ₹41,000, while the fee for vice-president and secretary is ₹31,000 each. Candidates for joint secretary, treasurer and library secretary will have to pay ₹21,000 each.
