Investigating the Jagraon electrician’s murder case, police have identified two shooters who had gunned down the victim on January 4 after barging into his house in Bardeke village of Jagraon.

The shooters have been identified as Abhinav and Tejvir Singh, both residents of Amritsar. Police have also arrested a woman, Shivani alias Shabina of Pathankot, the former accused’s sister for providing them accommodation.
Police said the accused had fled to Pathankot after murdering Paramjit Singh, where Shivani provided them with accommodation. After spending some days at her house, the accused again shifted hideouts.
Police have also produced gangster Dhruv Daudhar, who had earlier been booked in the case, before the court. The court ordered to send the accused to jail on judicial remand and extended police remand of Charanjit Singh, father of gangster-turned-terrorist Arsh Dalla and others for three days on Monday.
Paramjit Singh was shot dead by two unidentified assailants at his house on Wednesday. The assailants escaped in a Hyundai i-20 car, bearing a New Delhi registration number. Two men were caught in the footage of the CCTV installed in the house.
Inspector Harjinder Singh, station house officer (SHO) at the Jagraon Sadar police said multiple teams have been formed to nab the accused.
