Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, and Gurugram University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration, clinical training and joint research, providing psychology students with hands-on exposure to patients at PGIMS, Rohtak.
The MoU was signed at the office of UHSR vice-chancellor HK Aggarwal in the presence of senior officials of both universities.
Gurugram University vice-chancellor Sanjay Kaushik said the agreement would enable psychology students from Haryana to undertake clinical training at PGIMS instead of travelling to other states for such exposure. Gayatri Raina Arya, Dean, faculty of social sciences and education, said students would gain practical experience by working with patients at the premier medical institute, strengthening their clinical skills and employment prospects.
Under the MoU, students enrolled in MA clinical psychology, BSc clinical psychology (honours), professional diploma in clinical psychology and MSc psychology at Gurugram University will receive training through scheduled postings at UHSR.
