The Hardoi police registered a case against Samajwadi Party (SP) Mahila Sabha national president Seema Rajbhar following a complaint by a Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) leader who alleged that objectionable, misleading and defamatory content targeting the party’s senior leadership, women leaders and their family members was circulated on social media.
The FIR was registered at Hardoi City Kotwali around 8:39pm on Monday on charges, including criminal intimidation, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, criminal conspiracy and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act. SBSP national spokesperson Sunil Arkvanshi, a resident of Hardoi, lodged the complaint.
Sanjay Tyagi, Hardoi City Kotwali in-charge, said the case was registered and that police were examining the social media posts and allegations made in the complaint.
According to the complaint, Seema Rajbhar, who hails from Ballia, was earlier associated with the SBSP before joining the SP in 2022. Arkvanshi alleged that Rajbhar had been using her social media accounts and other internet platforms to circulate objectionable remarks against SBSP national president Om Prakash Rajbhar, senior women leaders and their relatives. He alleged that some of the posts contained serious and fabricated allegations.
The complainant further alleged that the posts were repeatedly circulated to damage the public and political reputation of SBSP leaders, violate their privacy and create social tension. He also claimed that the content could potentially disturb public order.

Seema Rajbhar, however, rejected the allegations and termed the case an outcome of the SBSP leadership’s political frustration. She alleged that SBSP leaders were targeting her because she had been consistently raising issues concerning the Rajbhar community.
Rajbhar alleged that the Rajbhar community had been “cheated” by the SBSP chief for his own political benefits.
She further claimed that the SBSP was facing political isolation and asserted that “all roads are closed” for the party in the upcoming elections. She alleged that the action against her was an attempt to silence her voice and divert attention from issues concerning the Rajbhar community.
