: Hundreds of students of classes 9 to 12 from PM SHRI School, Lucknow, visited the Gomti Book Festival and State Museum at Lucknow Zoological Garden on Saturday to develop an interest in reading and gain exposure. The festival is organised by the National Book Trust.

Students explored books ranging from storybooks to career guides. They also enjoyed a selfie point featuring life-size cut-outs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The visit included the Arts Quadrangle and a one-day educational tour of the State Museum.
Additional chief secretary, basic and secondary education department, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, said museums help connect classroom learning with artefacts and exhibits. Following an August 27, 2026 communication, PM SHRI schools must take classes 9-12 students to nearby museums. Visits are free, with guided assistance. Schools must submit geo-tagged photos and videos to the state project office, while officials must coordinate with museums.
