The Uttar Pradesh STF and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested three alleged drug smugglers and seized narcotics worth an estimated ₹1.45 crore in two separate operations in Barabanki and Mirzapur, officials said on Friday.

In Barabanki, the STF arrested Vikas Kumar, a resident of Masodha in Ayodhya, and Sikandar Ali, of Rounahi in Ayodhya, and recovered 260 kg of ganja, valued at around ₹65 lakh.
The arrests were made on Thursday evening on the Haidergarh-Bachhrawan road near the China Mill canal police post.
In the second operation, the ANTF’s Ghazipur unit arrested Anil Kumar Sonkar, a resident of Rampur Taiti under Madihan police station in Mirzapur, and recovered 390 gm of heroin valued at around ₹80 lakh.
Sonkar was arrested on Thursday near the PCF warehouse in Bhorsar village under Kotwali Dehat police station in Mirzapur.
