MUMBAI: He came to Mumbai chasing a television dream, but instead of finding a role on his favourite show, a 16-year-old from Madhya Pradesh found himself stranded for two days near Film City in Goregaon. The Aarey police found the teenager wandering in the area and contacted his family.

Paras Ratiram Verma, 16, from Chhindwara, told police he was fascinated by the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and wanted to work in the popular serial.
Police said Verma left home on August 6, travelling by train from Chhindwara to Nagpur and then onwards to Mumbai. He later took a local train to Film City after learning that the show was shot there.
An Aarey police patrol team was alerted by the control room about a minor wandering near Film City. The officers took him to the police station and spoke to him, where he explained why he had travelled to Mumbai.
The police then contacted his family. His father told officers that the teenager had left home saying he was going to school and had subsequently gone missing.
“He could not get entry so was roaming and got tired. We found him and have contacted his father who told us he left for school and then went missing. He is coming,” said an officer from Aarey police station.
